As COVID-19 gripped the country, it became clear that vote-by-mail would play a much larger role in this election than in years past. However, our research found that some voters were unfamiliar with — and in some cases, distrustful of — mail-in voting.

To combat this misunderstanding and educate people about the process, we created a fully branded campaign to assure Democratic-leaning voters that voting by mail was a safe and easy way to vote in 2020.

Display, pre-roll, and social ads drove people to a website where they could request their ballot. We later retargeted these individuals with a reminder to return their ballot.






The brand guide we built for the campaign combined friendly and eye-catching colors and illustration with bold and easy to read typography.
